Camden Maine proposal on the Schooner Olad
One of the coolest things we’ve done lately involved a lot of scheming and planning but turned out to be so amazing. Adam contacted us about his proposal which he had been planning with the wonderful people at Schooner Olad, which sails out of Camden, who we worked with earlier this year. He was planning a private sail out to Warren Island State Park, only accessible by boat where people go to camp and hike around, where he would propose to his girlfriend and then they would have a lobster dinner there and sail back to Camden together.
We had to go out first on a smaller boat so she wouldn’t suspect anything which was super fun and got to take some photos of their boat as we sailed past it. Once we were on the island we waited for them to arrive and the proposal to happen. Afterwards the crew prepared an awesome lobster dinner (honestly the best lobster I think I’ve ever had!) for the couple which was so cute to watch them eating them together and figuring out how to get the meat out, and then they had s’mores over the fire.
After we sailed back on the boat with them and got some amazing photos at sunset where they popped a bottle of champagne and watched the sunset. It could not have been more perfect weather and light and the day was so wonderful. We are so thankful for this experience and loved working with Adam and Mariah! And of course the crew from the Schooner Olad! Highly recommend this as a way to propose if you are thinking about it and we are happy to help you plan and photograph it if it’s something you’re thinking about!
