Surprise Proposal at Marshall Point Lighthouse | Maine Proposal Photographer
I think I've started to realize that one of the reasons I love proposals so much is I've always been a big gestures kind of person. I've had some crazy surprises for my husband in the past and things like this make me so happy. I worked with KB for a few weeks on his plans for his proposal to Caroline and he was so thoughtful in the planning and wanting everything to be perfect. We came up with a plan for us to be at the Marshall Point Lighthouse in Port Clyde where Lyle and I would pose as tourists photographing the lighthouse (which is one we use often and works well!) and then after they got there we would pivot to photograph the proposal. KB and Caroline were only going to be in Maine for a few days so we just had a short window of time for this to happen. As it usually goes in Maine, the weather is never exactly what you want it to be 😂 So one day was gray and rainy and we opted to go for day 2 which had some pretty insane, chilly winds but the sun was out! Turned out to be a stunning evening and everything went perfectly. They were even able to bring their very cute dog Bonnie and include her. Had so much fun with these two and we are always so honored to document these moments! And film to come too as soon as it’s developed!
We LOVE photographing proposals and would love to talk to you about planning one with us! Check out our proposals page for more examples of our work and contact us if you’re interested in learning more!
