Terramor Resort, Acadia National Park Wedding: Josh + Joanna
In early September we were so lucky to be able to document Josh and Joanna’s amazing wedding weekend in Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park. Their wedding weekend began with a welcome party and Chinese tea ceremony at Atlantic Brewing Company which I will be doing a separate post on—such a cool way to honor Joanna’s heritage and welcome their guests to Maine! On Saturday we met up with Josh at his parent’s house near Acadia for their first look. They had a beautiful back yard that overlooked the water and we were blessed with the most beautiful morning, a bit overcast with the threat of rain but we were so lucky that it held off all day until later that night. We found the perfect spot for Josh to stand and Joanna made her way down the path for an emotional and beautiful intimate moment between the two of them. We love a first look as it gives couples more time together on their wedding day and always lets them have more time together at cocktail hour. Josh and Joanna then did a private reading of their vows which was so emotional and beautiful. After a short time with their immediate family for just a few family group photos (something that did not want many of that day to keep things moving and they wanted to focus on candids) and a champagne toast we headed to Acadia for 2 hours of portrait time with the two of them: incredible that they gave us so much time that day to explore and be creative with them! We had so much fun in our time with them and it was so nice to just have that time without any pressure or anyone else around to just get to know them and to make some amazing art with them!
After our time at Acadia it was time to head to Terramor for their ceremony. Over the weekend the guests stayed at Terramor for a camp style weekend so they had more of a chance to spend time with the couple. Terramor is a glamping resort and is such a cool and unique spot for a wedding! It’s so close to Acadia so guests can go there and also close enough to Bar Harbor too. Absolutely recommend it and the staff was wonderful as well!
