Asa and Teresa and I met last Oct in a coffee shop in Brooklyn after I had a few other shoots there and they were interested in meeting me to discuss having Lyle and I shoot their wedding. I immediately liked them and was so excited when they booked us. A few weeks ago I was in Brooklyn again and we did their engagement photos all around Williamsburg, an area they live in and I love. It was so great to hang out with them and they are so cute and playful together (not to mention umm hot ;)!). We are looking forward to their Maine wedding at Newagen Seaside Inn in just a few weeks!
We are so excited that 2014 wedding season is here. After shooting two elopements our first full wedding of the year was Deneige and Darrin's at Camp Eastwood. It was an incredible day. Check out our Facebook page for more previews and the blog will be posted soon! :) We are currently booking weddings for late 2014 and 2015, please get in touch to receive our pricing guide!
Happy New Year! 2013 was a wonderful and crazy year for us -- crazy in the way that we were SO busy and shooting and traveling very often. We met some incredible people along the way and loved documenting their stories and getting to know them. We will be blogging more of our sessions soon, but first wanted to highlight some of the most amazing engagement photos we shot (and one anniversary session in there!) and will have a best of weddings blog coming soon too! Looking forward to another great year in 2014!
Earlier this year I received the sweetest e-mail from Jenny, which included this line, "I found your website a couple years ago; your work is stunning and individual. I knew if the time ever came, you'd be first on my list to contact." What an amazing thing to hear! We met up with Jenny and James and connected with them immediately, and loved their plans of a smaller, intimate wedding on Monhegan Island--where the were engaged--with just their family and friends. These have become some of our favorite days to photograph--simple, easy, intimate and beautiful. James and Jenny had a ceremony at a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean, and then lots of time for us to explore the island for photos of the two of them, followed by a dinner with their family. After dinner they had a sunset boat ride around the island. Jenny and James had an absolutely beautiful June day for their wedding and the photos tell the story of the day... we were so happy to work with them and document their wedding day for them!
We met Tom and Emma a few months before their wedding to do their engagement session (which is one of my favorites), and immediately picked up on how sweet and thoughtful they were with each other. Their wedding was in September on in Maine, at the Linekin Bay Resort, a beautiful little spot on the coast in Boothbay Harbor. Emma did an incredible job planning their wedding, with lots of special touches created by her, including designing her paper goods and the logo for the guest totes, and collecting blue pitchers with the help of her mom from tag stores and thrift shops for a year that were later used as centerpieces on all the tables. Documenting Tom and Emma's day surrounded by their family and friends (and lots of Bowdoin alumni!) was so wonderful, thanks T&E and we hope to see you in the future! :)

Late last year we were contacted by Isabel's mother regarding her senior photos. She actually had to get her photos done early because she was getting braces in a few weeks and didn't want them in her photos (completely understandable!). So even though it was chilly we met up with our makeup artist and got her makeup done and then ventured out to the location for the shoot. Isabel was a total pro in the cold weather, and the setting was actually perfect for the different outfits she brought.
We have been shooting seniors in Maine for 7 years now and every year we have an amazing group of unique seniors who come to us because they want something that is reflective of their style and personality. We also have an incredible new member of the Fidelio team that we can't wait to introduce you to soon! :)
When things are a little slower for us during the winter, we often get the chance to do some shoots for fun, including this which was shot in January. We teamed up with Colleen from Aphrodite Salon and Brenda from Adore Rouge (highly recommend both!) for this winter bridal fashion session. Unfortunately you just can't plan on what the weather is going to do in January in Maine, and this happened to be shot on THE coldest and windiest day of the winter I think, and we opted to just go with it and find another way of doing the shoot rather than subject the models to the horrible conditions outside. I adore the light in these shots. Here are a few from that day! Thanks so much to everyone who contributed to the shoot, and we shot something else with this team that we can't release yet but it will blow you away! :)
